HeadWest Outfitters is proud to introduce you to one of our amazing sponsored riders – Jaclyn Noll. Jaclyn began her riding career at the impressive age of three! Jaclyn’s first jackpot entry was at age four in pee wee rodeo. By age six, Jaclyn was competing in kids’ rodeos. As soon as she reached the sixth grade, she was able to begin competing in high school rodeo and the Canadian Cowboys Association. Today, Jaclyn competes in barrel racing, breakaway roping, goat tying, and pole bending. Her favorite of the two events is goat tying, but barrel racing is a close second!

Where Jaclyn lives there are barrel racing jackpots nearly year-round, so her rodeo season runs from May through October or November. She is able to compete nearly every weekend of the season through her various associations. The venues are spread out, so Jaclyn and her family travel on average of two to six hours from home to compete, but they have traveled as far as 14 hours before!

Jaclyn’s family of equestrians includes “TVD Gator,” a 10-year-old gelding quarter horse and “Wanna Win Bad,” a 22-year-old mare quarter horse thoroughbred cross. “Gator” and “Winn” are both used in barrel racing and pole bending. “Rebel” is a 20-year-old gelding quarter horse who is used for breakaway roping and goat tying. “Prescription Dynamite” is Jaclyn’s six-year-old mare, affectionately known as “Dyna,” and is currently used for barrel racing and will hopefully become a rope horse as well.

Jaclyn has been competing in rodeo events for many years, but the accomplishments that she tells us are her greatest would be winning All-Around Cowgirl in 2012 at high school rodeo and being named third in all of Canada in breakaway roping in 2012-13. Those are both incredible accomplishments, but her sights are set even higher! Jaclyn hopes to continue qualifying for national high school rodeo finals until her last eligible year. She also aspires to make the CCA Finals this year at the Canadian Western Agribition in Regina, Saskatchewan. And, in her very uplifting tone, Jaclyn included, “And to win an all-around title again sometime!”

The youngest child of Grant and Lynn Noll, 15-year-old Jaclyn has three older siblings: Christopher (24), Kaitlyn (22), and Curtis (20). Surprisingly, only Jaclyn, Kaitlyn, and Grant ride or compete in rodeo events. The girls learned of rodeo from friends and were immediately hooked. Jaclyn competes in rodeo events in Canada and the United States since the family farm is located near the border outside of Coronach, Saskatchewan. The Noll farm is primarily dedicated to crop production with a small herd of about 100 cattle. Three dogs, Mickey (a lab/boxer mix), Elly (a mini Aussie), and Lola (a mini Aussie) also call the farm home.

Jaclyn stumbled upon our sponsorship program after she and her sister became customers of our retail store, shopping for new boots and jeans. Now, Jaclyn is coming up on her one year anniversary with Team HWO. Jaclyn tells us, “It has been a great year! I truly wish I would have heard about it sooner!” We asked Jaclyn about her favorite part of being a sponsored rider, and she said, “The best part would be to show off my new clothing and accessories to people and sharing where I got it, and that I am proudly sponsored by this great company!”

    Jaclyn Noll

We are tremendously proud of Jaclyn and all of her accomplishments. It is extremely rewarding to be able to help Jaclyn in achieving her dreams and reaching her goals. Jaclyn is a wonderful representative of Team HWO and wears her sponsorship patches with great pride. We are honored to be able to call Jaclyn a HWO sponsored rider, and we look forward to celebrating with her in all the accomplishments the future holds!
